IMEI Checker Comparison – IMEI Safe, imei.info, imei24, imei.org, imeicheck.com, imeipro and iunlocker

Seven IMEI check providers side by side: price, registered office, languages, invoicing and GDPR transparency. All details about the other providers come from their own public pages; the retrieval date is stated with each provider.

What we compared

What a given IMEI check actually queries is impossible to verify from the outside — nobody publishes which database they hit. So we compare only what anyone can check for themselves: what a check costs, who operates the service, which languages it is available in, whether you get an invoice, and whether a data controller is named at all.

What that means in practice

Most IMEI services bill per lookup in US dollars and require a pre-funded balance. That is cheap if you check daily — for a single check before a used purchase it means registering, paying up front and taking an exchange rate. IMEI Safe takes the other route for consumers: a fixed price per device (4,90 € or 9,90 €), purchase without an account, invoice by email. Anyone checking regularly can still top up credit and pay per lookup.

Provider transparency is where the services differ most: of the six compared competitors, only imei.org names a legal entity with a postal address — and it does so in its privacy policy rather than on a dedicated imprint page. The other five state nothing. That matters in the EU the moment warranty, an invoice or a GDPR data request is involved.
